Carson’s Walk

A personal message from Carson:

“Hi there, My name is Carson Burr and I just turned 10 years old. On April 16th I celebrate my 10 year anniversary of open heart surgery that saved my life. On April 23rd I am walking 10 miles with my Brother and Sister, Brody and Jadyn to raise money for the Radiothon in Brandon which supports Children’s Hospital Foundation and raises money to purchase equipment for kids in the Brandon Regional Health Centre. I spent nearly 2 months in the hospital and have had numerous surgeries at Children’s Hospital and will have to see Cardiology there until I am an adult. Please help me help other kids to be healthy by pledging your support for my walk. Over the last 7 years with your help I have raised over $40 000. 00 to help sick kids. Thank you for your support!”

Kenzie’s Kauze

About Kenzie’s Kauze

“In December of 2013 Kenzie was diagnosed with a very rare brain tumour known as D.I.P.G. (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) Kenzie has been through countless MRI’s, radiation, needles and hospital visits. No matter what obstacle is thrown her way, Kenzie keeps on smiling and finds a way to handle things better than most grown adults would.
Since October, when Kenzie’s lost the use of the right side of her body, she decided that she would have to learn to use her left hand. That is exactly what she did. The logo you see is written by Kenzie, with her left hand. When asked what Kenzie wanted to do when she felt better, she responded, “play dodgeball”. So that is what we will do. She is our hero and a little superstar, so we wanted to do something to raise some money to help researchers find a cure.
By signing up a team, donating a prize for our auction, or just coming and buying a hot dog, you are helping do just that. Every penny counts when it comes to research.”
