The Spirit of Giving
Thursday, December 22, 2011

This year, 5-year-old Flynn Miller had his first lesson in the joys of giving. He spent two weeks asking friends and family to donate to his fund, and raised $200 to buy toys for the Child Protection Centre at Children’s Hospital. Flynn's parents also pitched in to buy a much-needed item for the area.
As Flynn and his parents were shopping for the toys, Flynn’s mom asked the 5-year-old to describe how good he felt about helping other kids, and Flynn said “I feel like crying.” (How unbelievably sweet is that?)
Flynn’s mom says he has already told her that he would like to help kids at Children's Hospital again next year.
Thank you to Flynn for being such an amazing little boy! All of us at the Foundation were incredibly touched by your kindness and generosity.
