Regalo’s First Rodeo! Hoof Beats of HOPE is almost here!

Regalo (Spanish for “the Gift Horse).” He has been ridden and trained by some of the best cowboys in Manitoba over the past ten months, touring Manitoba rodeos and various horse events.

At the “Annual Rocking W Ranch Horse Sale” on April 20, 2013, Regalo will be auctioned off to the highest bidder with 100% of the sale donated to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, in support of child health and child health research.

“Regalo had the opportunity to be part of the Heartland Rodeo Association Finals held in Carman, MB. on Sept.8 &9, 2012. He had the honor of posting the Manitoba flag in the grand entry.  Regalo had lots of fun running around the arena with all the flag bearers, but also knew when it was time to stand still.

He also helped out by doing the victory laps, paying tribute to the winners of the day in each rodeo event.

Regalo’s first rodeo experience was awesome, he didn’t mind being around all the commotion of a rodeo and would wait quietly at the gate until  he was needed.” Says Donna Baker, one of Regalo’s primary caregivers.

How you can help

If you don’t have the means to buy a horse but would still like to support Hoof Beats of HOPE, donations are gratefully accepted. Once all care and costs have been met, any surplus funds will be donated to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
